College Nordmetall Student Blog
Welcome to CNM's Student Blog. We at the College Office feel that "college-nordmetall.de" can be a lot more interactive than the regular Jacobs residential college website. Hence, we're offering all Jacobs' students a chance to express their opinions and concerns right here.
In order to create a Blog entry you will first need to register an account using your Jacobs e-mail address. After registering or if you already have an account you can get started by clicking on "Create content" in the Navigation menu on the left. When you're done, click save! Your published blog will be displayed below.
Important: Please note that once you create a blog entry, it will be entered into a moderation queue and therefore, it will not be published to this page. The CNM Office Team will then review your blog entry and publish/delete it accordingly. This is done to filter out any inappropriate content.

Welcome Back Dinner 2011
As students returned to Jacobs back from their winter holidays, intersession or semesters abroad, College Nordmetall thought of gathering everybody into a cozy atmosphere a have a nice dinner in the candlelight as a big family we are:)
Everyone seemed delighted to see friends back, moreover friends that had been a semester abroad. They, Jessica, Lukas, Amrei, Elena, Anastasya, had the opportunity to say some words to their fellows about their experiences abroad in France, Spain, Argentina, etc. Also, students got to meet the exchange and transfer students coming to Jacobs this year and residing in Nordmetall. We wish them a nice stay and a smooth transition to their new home.
College Masters during the night announced two new big upcoming events in the college College Nordmetall Award and Nordmetall Design Competition taking place in May. Everyone is welcomed to nominate and participate.
Apart from the incredible menu and the delicious ice cream, we were entertained by some amazing performances by our students: Yulia, Simon, Anna and Asmit, who we thank for the great performances. They were all amazing:)
Thank you everybody else for being part of this all-college dinner. We once again hope you all had an awesome time. Welcome Back once more :-)! Stay tuned for more events to come...
Day of Architecture
Once again we are making headlines - this time with the 'Tag der Architektur' (Day of Architecture) on Sunday 27th June. Tours of College Nordmetall will be given by the architect at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. More info here: www.aknds.de

Congratulations to Alex, Lara, Yonca, Dominique, Martin, Rodrigo, Gaurav, Keshab, Amina and Stuti. We hope you have an amazing graduation tomorrow and a good start to the next step.

Congratulations Tilak
Congratulations to our Nordmetall Student of the Year 2010, Tilak KC!
Tilak was strongly involved in the college life last year. He was playing in many of the College sports teams, and he won 2 prizes in the Nordmetall Design Competition.
Moreover, he contributed a lot to improve the intercultural relations in the College, for example he organised the unforgotten Nepali cooking evening, still to be matched by the other communities of College Nordmetall.
Most importantly, Tilak was acting when action was needed. When bad things went on in the college during Christmas and intersession period it was Tilak who acted responsibly and brought things back to place.
Thank you Tilak! We are proud to have you here.
